Details here: www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055215306Important stuff: It's on Wednesday March 5th and Thursday March 6th. I need to know who's going at least two weeks in advance to apply for funding. It's a dealer dealt 50 + 0 freezeout tournament, 5,000 starting chips and 30 minute levels. There will be Self-Deal Sit and Go’s running from 4pm for those interested who have been knocked out of the tournament. Following close of play at 11pm on Wednesday 5th, players are invited to come along to a top city centre venue for an after event party to remember. There's a maximum of 200 players allowed so please send me on the following information, or post in this thread: Required Information Last Name: First Name: Date of Birth: College/University: Student Number: Telephone: Email: BoylePoker Alias: (if applicable) The sooner you give me the 50 euro the sooner I can get ye registered, I doubt they'll run out of tickets but no harm in being organized (for a change). I assume everybody's staying overnight.

Got an email today about it:
Hello,
My name is Dean and I'm a member of the DCU poker society committee.
As you may or may not have heard DCU will be hosting a Students Master tournament this March.
Basically this email is a request, we are inviting any member of your college to join us at this event and we wish you to forward the attached file as an email onto your college mailing list (not just your poker list).
Any players who register before 1st of March are automatically entered into a $2000* free roll and places are filling up fast not just for the free roll but for the main event so we urge anybody wishing to play to enter as soon as possible.
(*Terms and Conditions apply - $1000 freeroll for 100+ registrations, $2000 for 200+ tournament registrations. Freeroll is open to all pre-registered tournament players who open or hold a Boylepoker account before 01/03/2008)
I have attached a file called "BSM Press release" which I would be grateful if you forwarded on to your college mailing list for me, I have also attached the payout structure for your interest.
If you have any questions please feel free to email committee@dcupokersoc.com
Dean Magee
*I can't put the attachment in on this board, all the details are in the thread anyway.*

Hi all,
As I hope you are now all aware The BoylePoker Student Masters is taking place in the HUB, DCU on Wednesday March 5th with final table Thursday March 6th.
Full info at (http://www.dcupokersoc.com/bsm.html) and (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055215306)
This will be THE biggest & best student poker tourney of the year and needs extensive planning. Were working on finalising the dealers required for the event in the coming week or so. Therefore we need all those interested in competing to register for the event or at the least give us an indication of how many players you will be sending asap really. There will be an exclusive after-play party in Boomerangs on the night of 5th March.
There will also be a team event with a cup for the winning team and this will more than likely be an additional ?10 buy in for those wishing to compete & money added to a team prizepool (all 10's x 5 team members)
All players who register before midnight on Thursday 14/2 will be entered into a draw to have their entry fee for free.
If you have any queries, please to not hesitate to contact me and I'l do my best to help.
Please find attached the event poster, please feel free to print it off & display in your college. (That would be great).
Thanks & Regards, Ray
DCU Pokersoc Chairman 07/08

Based on who asked the question, have a guess. I meant who gives a sh*t, just don't go to them. It's only going to be worth about 10% or something irrelevant anyway. And sure even if you do fail you can always hang around with douglas.

Ill play if your still accepting people. sent you on my details. Yeah that's no problem. The way we're going to do this is you can either get the bus, train or plane up there but the societies guild will only pay 20 euro towards it. So if the plane costs 30 euro you have to pay 10 euro. They'll also cover 25 euro per person for accommodation, which pretty much limits us to hostels unless you want to pay the difference for a hotel/B&B.

O.k. sorry for the delay getting this set up. We're staying in the marlborough hostel. It's located at number 20 on this map. It's a 15 minute bus journey out to DCU and there's buses leaving every 5 minutes from O' Connell street and Trinity (4, 11, 13, 19A). Registration is starting at 2 and the tourney starts at 3. Play finishes at 11pm and we've been invited out afterwards so being in the city centre we won't have to worry about getting back to DCU at 3am thankfully. Play resumes at 2pm the next day and the last blind level is scheduled to finish at 7pm. What does that mean for transport? Ryanair have a flight leaving Cork at 10.10 and arriving at 11.00 in Dublin Wednesday morning. There's a return flight leaving Dublin at 20.50 and arriving in Cork at 21.40. It cost me about 56 euro for the return trip and you'll get 20 euro paid off of this by the societies guild, hold onto the reciepts. You can also travel by aircoach. They have a coach leaving from Patricks Quay (across from the Macau) at 9am and arriving at 1pm in Westmoreland Street (pictured above). With a bus back at 7pm, arriving at 11pm. The return trip costs 18 euro and you'll have all this paid for, again hold onto the receipt. There's also trains leaving every hour on the half hour. The 9.30 train arrives at 12.25 and the 10.30 train arrives at 13.20. On the way back there's trains every hour on the hour up to 9pm. It's 42 euro for student return, you'll have 20 euro paid for and hold onto receipts. The tournament is 50 euro to enter and they'll be running sit and gos from 4pm. Any questions?
